WAYSIDE TAPROOM TURNS 10! How did that happen so fast?! A decade ago, Andes, NY welcomed another business, the Wayside Cider Taproom. Built to serve New York cider, beer, wine and spirits, local farm-fresh food and a shared community space. It went from a bar and courtyard to much more. The taproom has transformed over the years to become an event space for live entertainment, games, craft nights and more. We couldn’t be more proud of the evolution and of all of the hands that have been a part of the journey.

On October 17th from 3-8pm, we are throwing a BIG BIRTHDAY BASH! We will be pouring two new cider releases, offering local farm dinner fare by Chef Tara, including Solinsky’s meats and live music by our friends, the Flatbed Truck Band. We might even have some surprises up our sleeves. This is a ticketed event! Tickets are $70, which includes open bar, food and entertainment in the place we love most, Andes, NY. Let’s make it a party to remember!

Bios:

Marisa Caruso

• Marisa Caruso is the founder of the Hill People’s Comedy Fest and a member of the sketch trio Gimlick. She is an actor, comedian and producer based in the Catskills where she is a producing member of The Party Theater. She has performed and taught improv/sketch comedy with folks ages 4 through 80 in schools, theaters, church basements, eastern European cultural centers, the Villa Roma, public parks, and living rooms (or wherever people will tolerate whimsy). 

Garth Kravits

• Garth Kravits is a Broadway Veteran actor, who made his debut in the Tony award winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone and originated the role of Ritchie in the Broadway show Gettin’ the Band Back Together. Off-Broadway credits include Old Jews Telling Jokes, Toxic Audio and Smart Blonde. He has Guest Starred on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Mr. Robot, The Blacklist, 30 Rock, The Hunters, and in the film Sweet November. Garth founded cut & dry films in 2013 and has written, directed, produced and performed in over 30 short form comedy films. He has been performing and teaching improv for over 30 years. As an award winning vocalist, musician and songwriter he has performed in theaters, concert halls, clubs and festivals around the globe.

Shaye Troha

• Shaye Troha is a performer without a box that’s been on the stage in various forms for over 25 years. For 7 years, she was an actor/director in SF’s long loved sketch troupe Killing My Lobster, having performed in NYC Sketch Fest, SF SketchFest and Vancouver Sketch Fest. She toured domestically and internationally (Oberon Theater, Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Berkeley Rep) with “Beowulf: a Thousand Years of Baggage”, which she choreographed. Her current love is producing/emceeing her own variety cabarets (you may have seen her at the Chez Shaye Cabaret at Wayside Cider or beyond!) and rocking the keys in the electro duo band, Samonik. @samonik

Josh Lay

• His work has been seen on Disney +, Prime Video's Game Breakers, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Nickelodeon, and unfortunately, Vice Live. His biggest achievement is being a contestant on Double Dare with Marc Summers as an adult.  

Once a month, Catskills Old Time Music Jam comes to Wayside! An open & free jam in the old time Appalachian stringband style. Have a guitar, fiddle, banjo, acoustic bass, mandolin or ukelele? Come on down!

The music of the Catskills comes alive in the Taproom. All levels welcome!

‍ ‍OCT 25th‍ ‍SUNDAY MOVIE NIGHT’s screening is THE CONJURING. The week of Halloween gets a big dose of fear. Based on real-life reporting of two paranormal investigators, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star in the 2013 supernatural horror film. Screening 5-7pm

In honor of the one and only TIM CURRY, we are thrilllllled to present: ROCKY HALLOWEEN DRAG SHOW. Three Queens, one DJ and alot of FISHNETS AND LEATHER, lets show Rocky what we’ve got in Delco. Dress Up as your fav Rocky Horror character, and let your freak flag fly.

Based on Anya Seton's bestselling novel, a young farm girl named Miranda moves to a grand Hudson Valley estate called Dragonwyck to care for her cousin's daughter.
