The Godforsaken String Band plays Old Time/Appalachian music in its most elemental forms... Playing songs that have echoed through American musical history: Soldiers Joy, Cripple Creek, Old Dan Tucker, Little Brown Jug. The Band plays a set starting at 7:30 and then WELCOMES local musicians to add folk and pop acoustic flavors to the mix and play till the house closes. The Godforsakens are fiddle, clawhammer banjo, guitar, mandolin and pure American singing. Their music is infectious and just makes you feel good. Dancing imminent and encouraged.
